1. Client-Side Processing Architecture
Docutomic is constructed using client-side WebAssembly, HTML5 Canvas, Web Workers, and JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and pdfjs-dist). When you select or drag photos (JPG, PNG, WebP) or PDF documents into Docutomic, the files are accessed via standard browser File APIs (`URL.createObjectURL` and `FileReader`).
All operations—including image decoding, color inversion, page scaling, rotation, merging, and PDF generation—execute directly inside your computer or mobile device's hardware memory. No file binary data is ever transmitted over network sockets to Docutomic servers.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect or Store
Because of our strict local-only technical architecture:
- We do not collect or store your uploaded image files or PDF documents.
- We do not record or log document contents, text, photos, or metadata (such as EXIF camera data or author names).
- We do not maintain temporary file queues on any remote cloud server.
- We do not feed or train machine learning or AI models with user documents.
3. Local Storage and Preferences
Docutomic uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) solely to remember your UI display preference (Light Mode vs. Dark Mode). This preference stays strictly on your browser and is never transmitted or linked to your identity.
4. Analytics and External Tracking
Docutomic is committed to providing a clean, distraction-free document utility. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies, fingerprinting mechanisms, or aggressive ad retargeting networks. Any standard web telemetry is anonymized and aggregated strictly for performance monitoring, uptime checks, and detecting broken links.
5. Global Privacy Compliance (GDPR, CCPA & COPPA)
Under regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users possess rights regarding the collection, access, and deletion of personal data. Because Docutomic does not collect, sell, rent, or store personal files or personal identifiable information (PII), we comply with these frameworks through radical data minimization and architectural non-collection.
6. Security Best Practices
The Docutomic web application is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols. This guarantees that application assets (scripts, styles, icons) cannot be tampered with in transit.

We may periodically review and update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements to our software or changes in legal regulations. Any updates will be posted to this URL with an updated effective date.
